[Eat Vancouver] Saboten @ Richmond

Saboten is one of my favourite Japanes Tonkatsu place when I was working in Taiwan a few years back. Tonkatsu, or Deep-fried Japanese cutlet is one of my favourite food of all time. I never dreamed that one day I will see this in Canada until few weeks ago when wife and I went shopping in Aberdeen Centre @ Richmond. We walked right into this view in Aberdeen Centre Food court.

Now, I believe there is a “FOOD GOD!” He finally heard my prayers.
This is what they are famous for. Deep friend Japanese cutlet with a bowl of rice. $8~10 bucks

Loin Katsu Curry, this is one of my favourites.

“Saboten” restaurant in Taiwan and Hong Kong usually has a huge line up in front of the store. usually the wait time is 20min up to sometimes 1 hr before you can get in the restaurant. Although Saboten in Richmond isn’t a full restaurant but in a food court, they still have huge line ups during lunch hours. They offer gourmet Japanese Cutlet @ food court pricing without sacrifising taste. If you are tired of food court food, Saboten offers you a new option.
